For ages 6 to 11
Your pupils stop doing their homework for you. They do it for their fish.
Every child in the class has a fish. It grows when they work. Within days, homework stops being something you have to chase: the pupils start asking for extra work.
What changes
Homework comes back, and you stop asking for it.
A points chart gets checked. A fish tank gets cared about. Every fish carries a child’s name, and one glance is enough to remind the class of the effort without you saying a word.
Homework comes back
A child will not let their fish stay small while everyone else’s grows. By the next morning, the exercise book is done.
The work carries on at home
Pupils find their fish again in the evening, from home. Parents say it comes up at dinner and that their child gets the books out unprompted.
It costs you under a minute
Multi-select, a whole-class button, keyboard shortcuts. The tool you abandon after three weeks is the one that eats ten minutes a day. Not this one.
How it works
Three moves, and two of them happen only once.
You paste your list
Your pupils’ first names, one per line. No surname, no date of birth, no account for the children. Ten minutes, once a year.
You award points
Homework done, neat work, kept trying, helped a friend. Ten ready-made reasons, all editable. One click for a pupil, one click for the whole class.
The fish grow
Twenty levels, packed close together at the start so Monday’s effort shows by Tuesday, then spread out to last the full school year.
The first week
What happens over the first five days.
Nothing to prepare, nothing to learn. Here is how a first week runs, from pasting the list to the first class goal reached.
Monday
You paste your 24 names and each pupil creates their fish: species, colour, pattern, name.
24 fish in 12 minutesTuesday
Homework check. You select the pupils who handed it in and click Homework done. A fish levels up in front of the whole class.
22 seconds flatWednesday
A pupil asks whether they can read one more chapter to feed their fish. You had not asked for anything.
The first extra workThursday
Parents get the weekly summary and see their own child’s fish, without seeing anyone else’s.
The handover to homeFriday
The class reaches its shared goal. The tank sets off a celebration and a new decoration unlocks.
A reward earned togetherAfter a week, homework is no longer what you have to ask for. Extra work is what they ask you for.
Why it works
A child will drop a score. A child will not drop an animal.
The lever is not the reward, it is responsibility. Four drivers, carried by a single mechanic.
Caring for something that depends on you
The fish has a name the child chose, it moves, it gets hungry. It stopped being a counter and became someone to look after.
Progress you can actually see
The first level lands at three points: one piece of homework and the fish has changed by the next day. The last one does not arrive before June.
Being seen, for the right reason
When a fish grows, the whole class notices and says so. Recognition is public, difficulty stays private.
Belonging to the group
The tank is shared. Class goals pull in the pupils that an individual ranking only discourages.
A pupil who has fallen behind and stopped listening? They can catch up.
At the end of the day the app draws a name. The draw runs through the whole class, but it can only land on a pupil who is short of points. One question: what did you learn today that matters? A good answer earns points, and you decide how many. Nobody in the room can tell the draw was weighted, and the child who had tuned out has a reason to listen tomorrow.
Our rules
What we refuse to build, and never will.
A badly designed motivation tool damages the very pupils it should help. These rules are wired into the product, not left to a setting.

Data and compliance
A first name. That is everything we know about your pupils.
Most of the refusals a digital tool meets in a school come down to data. We designed the product to handle as little of it as possible.
Try it on a real class, for a week.
Seven days, every feature, your whole class. If your pupils are not talking about it within three days, you owe us nothing.
